Just finished repairing a slide-in KitchenAid range this afternoon. The customer’s original complaint was no heat in the oven. After diagnosing the issue, we discovered the main control board was not sending power to the elements.
The new control board came with a new wire harness. After installing both the new control and the new harness, the range displayed an F2-E1 error code. After trying several fixes, I reinstalled the original harness with the new control board. The unit is now working perfectly, and the customer is back to cooking normally.
